I saw a most fantastic camera case on one of my daily Etsy Finds emails, I experimented in replicating it to some extent, kind of worked, kind of didn't. I'll show it to you later.
I really can't go away without taking a little bit of sewing with me, really I can't. So I have just made this travel sewing pouch. Its a little fold up number with two felt pieces for pins and needles and two pockets for other little bits of equipment.
My scissors are quite sharp on the tip so I sewed a little felt pouch for them to sit in. A little bit of embroidery taken from the fabric pattern makes it look fancier than it really is.
There you go, sewing and travel all wrapped up.

I was the same when I went away to Tasmania a couple of weeks ago, I had to take some sewing with me. The pouch you made looks great and big enough for your bits and pieces. Happy travelling.:)
ReplyDeleteYour little travel kit is gorgeous! I love the tiny scissors case & beautiful fabrics you've used..
ReplyDeleteWOW, that is stunning! i absolutely love it!!! the scissor pouch is great and it matches the pouch!! i'm sure you will be very inspired to sew when you have a travelling pouch like that! :D
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous Caroline! Really, really gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThat is one snazzy sewing pouch. Wish I was that organised!
ReplyDeleteI agree, snazzy stuff! Just sitting here calculating how many craft pouches I could justify making and how I would tackle the one for the granny blanket in 167 bits...(I do tend to go a bit overboard).
ReplyDeleteWay classie than the zip lock bag that I haul around. And I bet those sharp little scissors won't easily make an escape route?
