Picnic dress

And there we go!

front

back
All stitched back together again, ric-rac around the neck and hem - picnic anyone?

I had just enough fabric left over to make a cute pair of baby booties too.

I know I shouldn't say this, but I do hope you have a girl.

Eeeek! Love it love it love it!
It reminds me of a cross stitched gingham project that I did in year 7.
I wonder if an adult could wear a gingham cross stitch tablecloth tunic dress and get away with it?

I love this dress - I will have my eye out for a tablecloth like this - genius idea.

Just adorable!
I love that you recycled the ric-rac too.

Very sweet. All that unpicking was worth the effort :)

the dress turned out really good. i'm sure the recipient will look beautiful in it. and the booties are a lovely bonus! btw, well done with the ric rac, it takes precision to sew it on. :)
